G20 Summit in France

An update on the Summit in France, "At previous G20 and G8 summits, Obama has been able to cite financial system reforms enacted under his administration to demonstrate to other world leaders that the U.S. is working to stabilize its fiscal situation.

However, next week's summit will take place amid ongoing "Occupy Wall Street" demonstrations across the United States, in which people are protesting high unemployment, economic inequalities, and what they call corporate greed. 

The president spoke about the protests, which have drawn attention overseas.

"The protesters are giving voice to a more broad-based frustration about how our financial system works," he said during his press conference on October 6th.

As he awaits the upcoming deficit-reduction decision by the supercommittee, Obama also continues to press lawmakers on legislation he says would create 1.9 million jobs. 

Earlier this month, his American Jobs Act failed to obtain the 60 votes needed for passage in the Senate, with all Republicans voting against it. Congress earlier did approve free-trade agreements the president says will help the economy."

Following or Leading or going by Western Media critics, the book is a Capitalistic Hero from sourcing out to China to make sure of the cheapest price, only made in China is successful.

Thailand, China, The Case of Favoritism

Something we all know in our hearts but never can proof. Favoritism, has been shown in survey after survey to be the number one reason that you the majority (99%) are not successful in society. In the English speaking world, they all have dreams. Excuses are usually sum up as "lazy" or in government "proof it".

The case of Greece comes to mind as part of the "PIGS" Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Spain. We all have witness in China or Thailand favoritism in society. Our framework model of favoritism consists of industries, government, and civil society. In education, there are the separation of labor through titles. The word "unfair" is often heard by women in societies of China and Thailand. The word "knowledge" which measures how one is qualified is rated at the bottom of 10 traits. As a surveyor researcher in Thailand and China, I am consistently very disappointed in the results.

Strategies to counter favoritism review of promotion system by senior management or by human resources. By having clear, objectives, and consistently enforced policy to counter favoritism. Interviewers made of and from different backgrounds. Having Centralized monitoring of promotion designed to identify bias. (Penn, Schoen, Berland, 2011)

Policies are only enforced by law, such as age, gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. These are what a minority of the countries have agreed to. The written word is highly prized in these societies. (Pornpang, 2009)

Thai Immigration All Is Local: Forming Policies

A look at policy as a successful  immigrant integration role in the receiving community.  The receiving community is located in Tennessee, USA. In 2006, the TIRRC (Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition) started a pilot program with two communities. The newcomers were from Iraq, Somalia, and Sudan and the local native borne population. The locals were not accustomed to hearing foreign languages or to seeing immigrants in their daily lives. The policy of inclusion rather than isolationism was chosen in Tennessee with many examples across the USA.(Jones-Correa, 2011)

Direct contact between the newcomers and the local native population over 5 years period begin to have results. For example, through the means of billboards on Tennessee highways, to letters to the editor in local papers, to church bulletin advertisements. This leads to a framework model based on the local and national levels such as nonprofit, civic, religious, philanthropic, business, and government entities as well as elected officials.

Strategies suggested include four keys. Number one is encouraging local leadership. Number two is fostering contact between immigrants and the native borne. Number three is building partnerships between state and local government and new residents. Finally, reframing the issues to counter misconceptions about immigrants.

 Policy recommendations are recommended on a multi-level of government and civil society. First, in the absence of immigration reforms, it is essential that the federal government be involved in mitigated immigration. Second, the State and the locale governments should expanded not contract its immigration affairs because it is the only front line for local integration. Third, nongovernmental actors have always been a significant role in providing aid to immigrate community and to the local native borne population. Finally, funders and foundations need to expand their efforts among native populations to provide a more balanced approach.

In conclusion, in the framework, the strategies, and policy recommendations lies a point of balance in the time of budget cutbacks. The time for all actors to stay involved is critical not cutting back.
