Our approach generalizes the case study
method by considering all local differences in minimum wage policies
between 1990 and 2006. We compare all contiguous county-pairs in the
United States that straddle a state border and find no adverse employment
effects. We show that traditional approaches that do not account for local
economic conditions tend to produce spurious negative effects due to spatial
heterogeneities in employment trends that are unrelated to minimum
wage policies. Our findings are robust to allowing for long-term effects of
minimum wage changes.Udon Thai Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02448902515922949464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3425662650772175943.post-83838366691193219892011-10-02T11:02:51.993+07:002011-10-02T11:02:51.993+07:00South Carolina lowest average housing costs, one y...South Carolina lowest average housing costs, one year of rent averages $4,620.Udon Thai Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02448902515922949464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3425662650772175943.post-37155633464658952552011-10-02T10:19:40.388+07:002011-10-02T10:19:40.388+07:00The following with taken from a 2010 blog:
